Absalom’s pillar

Absalom’s pillar, a monument in the valley east of the Temple Mount. The name of the tombstone indicates a tradition linking it to a tombstone built by Absalom, the son of King David, but according to archaeological research, it is a tomb dating to the 1st century AD, many centuries after the time of Absalom.  According to archaeologist Gabriel Barkai, this is the tomb of King Agrippa I
